Overview

PCM is currently seeking an Apple Support Specialist who can support staff by responding to all level II inbound service requests for Infrastructure support.  Primary responsibilities will be to support, upgrade, install and troubleshoot Apple and PCM products and other hardware devices within a structured IT enterprise environment.  Seeking resources with corporate enterprise IT support expereince. 

Responsibilities

  • Provides first and second level helpdesk support which includes receiving calls, opening and logging helpdesk tickets, addressing issues that can be quickly resolved and routing trouble tickets to the appropriate resource.
  • Provides technical support, expertise and user training for a variety of Apple/Macintosh hardware, software and devices.
  • Researches, analyzes and resolves complex Apple/Macintosh hardware and software problems that cannot be resolved by lower level support staff.
  • Installing and configuring primarily Apple Mac but also PC hardware and software
  • Diagnosing and solving hardware faults
  • Effectively prioritizing calls to ensure those that have greatest impact on the business are resolved first – understand who the ‘VIP’ and other special users are.

Escalating major incidents to IT management quickly and clearly

Qualifications

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge and understanding of operations and business priorities
  • Knowledge of MS Office and Windows 7/10.
  • JAMF experience or certification for administer Apple/Macintosh servers, including for distributing software is a plus
  • Apple Mac Operating Systems 2 years minimum experience
  • Knowledge of Apple hardware 2 years minimum experience
  • Knowledge of current Apple desktop and mobile computing technology and products
  • Knowledge of core business applications and their operation
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Basic understanding of Networking Protocols to aid troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc)
