    AV Systems Lead Technician proficient in hands-on Professional Audio-Visual Commercial Installations, configuration and leading projects from inception to completion while delivering high quality client service. This person will be the primary Lead Technician for audiovisual projects of all sizes and varieties.

    This position will provide professional challenge and growth opportunities to any AV Technician who exemplifies leadership and communication skills that advance the AV integration process.  This position is a multi-faceted position incorporating AV Installations, servicing and scheduled AV maintenance.  The ideal candidate will be part of a growing technology division with opportunity to advance as the division continues to grow.  The candidate will be involved in providing technical consultation, assist in scheduling, and also assist in the coordination of installation, and other trade services through sales engineering and project management.







    • Responsible for the installation of AV systems, including Video Walls, Digital Signage, Flat Panel Displays and Mounts, Projectors and associated rack fabrication
    • Regular job duties to include Commercial Audio-Visual system commissioning, final configurations and troubleshooting
    • Must have contemporary hands-on experience with installing Commercial AV systems including microphones, speakers, flat panel displays, low-voltage controls, lighting, video conferencing systems, cameras, rack fabrications and all associated field cabling and rack wiring
    • Identify and address technical or logistical impediments to delivering scope of work 
    • Involvement in the day-to-day interface with company personnel and clients in the deployment of AV system requirements and in the scheduling, execution and installation for the projects
    • Performs diagnosis and resolution of complex AV hardware and software problems for clients. Recommend and implement corrective solutions.
    • Interface with vendors and other technical partners.
    • Coordinate with Service and Support to help facilitate all technical support tasks.
    • Technical, analytical with an ability to manage multiple tasks and disciplines as they apply to technology.
    • Ability to maintain high standards while working with ever-changing work demands and deadlines.
    • Ability to effectively manage individual and future team time schedules on multiple projects at various stages of completion.
    • Focused customer service attitude.









    • At least 5 years of experience with commercial audio-visual installation, configuration and service


    ·         Current or pursuing CTS, or CTS-I certification



    • Audio Visual certifications a plus (Extron, Crestron, AMX, Bi-AMP, etc.)



    • Strong written, verbal and customer service skills as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with various internal departments and personnel



    • High level of proficiency in the use of business application systems including programs such as MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project and MS Word plus specialized software applications specific to the AV industry


    • Ability to assist with technical design, proposal pricing, logistics/challenges
    • Ability to load and diagnose programming (Crestron, AMX) desired
    • Experience with commercial audio-visual project management
    • Firm understanding of the life cycle of a technology project
    • Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints
