    Overview

    The Microsoft License Desk Specialist works hand-in-hand with PCM Account Managers, MSS Team, Market Leaders, Partners and key internal resources to grow and facilitate Microsoft’s Licensing Annuity business within the SMB segment (0-250 users).

     

    This includes helping customers to understand how to purchase, renew and maximize the licenses for their Microsoft technology solutions. Success in the role includes growing the licensing annuity business, closing deals within guidance, and increasing customer satisfaction. The success is measured by meeting or exceeding sales objectives such as: (MPSA, CSP, Open, etc.): revenue, penetration, renewals, revenue recapture, up sell / cross sell (Cloud) and PCM Professional Services.

     

    The Microsoft Licensing Desk Specialist is primarily focused on supporting reactive activities, operational activities, the support of new and existing base of Microsoft customers and proactively managing and executing adherence to T-36 / T-180.

    Responsibilities

    • Administration, creation, review and approval of ongoing manufacturer and license agreements (Microsoft)
    • Primary focus on the support of net new SMB customers and our existing base of Microsoft clients
      • As a subset, outreach to our Account Managers to ensure communications to client
      • Ensure On-Time
      • Ensure Pro-active support for customer agreement
    • Assist in the management, responses to, or response support for Microsoft Team mailbox of general licensing questions
    • Database generation and upkeep for new and existing customers and their agreements
    • Acquisition and reporting of the licenses to the manufacturer and fulfilment of cancellations
    • Coordination function with internal departments, external partners, manufacturers and customers
    • Acceptance of administrative tasks in the support and administration of volume licenses
    • Support of internal departments and customers in regards to Microsoft Licensing programs
    • The LDS is able to position and represent all elements of the PCM software value proposition to clients and partners.
    • Assistance with monthly VL newsletters, webinars and required reporting
    • Technical support and handling of internal tools, development of these tools as well as support for tools and systems provided by Microsoft (i.e. explore.ms, eAgreements, VLSC, PCM Link, ...)
    • Industry Expertise: Be an expert in industry trends including competitive and market dynamics, product, licensing and technology trends.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 1 years of Microsoft Operations or Licensing Experience preferred
    • Proficient in MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word), with a high proficiency in Excel
    • User skills for standard ERP systems
    • High motivation and initiative, a willingness to learn, negotiation skills as well as a sense of responsibility
    • Teamwork skills, significant client, quality and service-centricity
    • Experience in multicultural / international work environment preferred
    • Ability to work with little or no supervision
