    Overview

    The Project Manager / Systems Analyst is a position that requires wearing both a project manager and systems analyst hat.

     

    The position requires participating in various enterprise projects, in various capacities, ranging from maintaining and enhancing our ERP to managing various business process improvement (BPI) and document management projects.

    The position includes coordinating the activities of IT team members (desktop support, network architect & systems analyst) and 3rd-party vendors/consultants to provide ongoing application support, respond to production problems, user requests and deliver projects that improve operational efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    • Author detailed business and functional requirements for projects of varying complexity. Employ the proper elicitation technique to ensure requirements are appropriately and efficiently identified, analyzed, and documented using industry standard analysis techniques.
    • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
    • Act as a liaison between IT and affected departments in the planning, directing and conducting the analysis of complex business problems
    • Coordinate with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
    • Report and escalate to management as needed
    • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
    • Work with Director of IT to map business requirements to project deliverables, resource planning & project plans. Provide input into project plans, cost, and/or resource estimating activities.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in project management as an IT project manage
    • Demonstrable ability and track record of authoring rock-solid Business Requirement Documents (BRD) & Functional Specification Documents (FSD)
    • Ability to work both as a member of a team, team leader and independently as required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects with aggressive deadlines/time-sensitivity
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Fast learner – ability to pick up new skills
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
    • Experience with document management solutions is a plus
    • Experience with Lean Management methodologies is a plus
    • Experience with Agile software development is a plus

     

    Education/Work Experience

    • BA/BS Degree preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting or an equivalent combination of education, training, and progressive experience.
    • 7-10 years of Project Management experience managing multi projects.
