The Configuration Technician is responsible for preparing a high volume of computers, tablets, printers, and other products for delivery to customers.
Un-boxing and prepping of units.
Install and configure hardware components and software according to instructions based on customer specifications
Tests configured systems for appropriate operation and troubleshoots for any errors found
Re-boxing product and preparing boxes for shipment
Communicate issues concerning customer orders to the department supervisor
Works with Lead Technicians on difficult to solve problems or configurations
Complies with departmental training certification requirements based on config, level by job function, i.e. Config. Level I, II, III
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
It may be necessary to work beyond the regularly scheduled shift, as overtime may be required on occasion
Keep the work area organized through daily cleaning and removal of garbage and pallet jacks, etc.
Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times
