    The PCM Team is actively recruiting for this field sales overlay role. As the Microsoft Solution Consultant you will add value by leading Microsoft Cloud sales efforts, including: qualifying, developing and managing sales opportunities with an emphasis on the Microsoft Public Cloud. You will play an integral part in maximizing our long term revenue growth, ensuring successful deployment, adoption, consumption, and active usage of products. Additionally, you will work closely with PCM teams to improve customer satisfaction. In this position, you will be involved in all phases of the sales cycle from opportunity development through closure for all Microsoft Cloud opportunities in your assigned territory.  


    The MSC is a critical part of the account team and works closely with PCM Account Executives, Licensing Specialists, Business Development Managers and Services as well as the Microsoft Field personnel.


    • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated an ability to work with executive level management in enterprise customers to map IT requirements to business initiatives.
    • Candidate must be able to articulate the business value of PCM and Microsoft Cloud Solutions and products and position them in competitive scenarios.
    • Candidate should have a strong sales background with 6+ years of industry experience with an established vendor and specific experience selling cloud solutions or services.
    • Candidate should have experience with technical services sales, including scoping services work, as well as managing services projects from inception to completion.
    • Candidate must have strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate the advantages of Microsoft technology to senior business and technical decision makers.
    • Candidate must be comfortable presenting to audiences in-person or via teleconferencing
    • Candidate must be able to operate as part of a virtual team. Strong teamwork capabilities are required.
    • Candidate must be proficient in creating Solution Strategies mapped to the business plan for the accounts assigned within their territory
    • Industry Expertise: Be an expert in industry trends including competitive and market dynamics, product, licensing and technology trends.
    • Continual self-directed learning to stay up to date on technology changes required
    • Additional duties as assigned.


    • Four year college degree from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience with primary focus on assessing Microsoft Azure opportunities
    • Minimum six years of sales or sales engineering experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment; or a record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable sales role.
    • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Apps, VMware vCloud, Google Cloud Platform strongly desired, but not necessary.
    • Product certification, engineering credentials, or equivalent technical credentials.
    • Will be required to pass and maintain sales certifications
    • Ability to work in a globally deployed team environment
    • Maintain a high level of involvement with current technologies and innovations
    • Travel to Customer sites for Project Kickoffs, Discovery, Assessments and Road mapping sessions
    • Manage enterprise level Customers and Customer Requests with a professional and positive attitude
    • Ability to travel (up to 50% expected)
    • Excellent communication, presentation and organization skills
    • High level of commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship building skills
    • Ability to execute, intense focus on results, strong teamwork skills, self-motivated and pro-active
