    Overview

    PCM is currently seeking a Technical Lead to provide level II support to our customer’s staff by responding to level II service requests for IT/End User support.  Primary responsibilities will be to troubleshoot and resolve desktops, notebooks, printers and other hardware devices issues within a structured IT enterprise environment.  Heavy end user interaction and support experience is required for this position.  Responsibilities will include some network administration and support activities as well as participating in enterprise infrastructure projects.

     

    The Technical Lead requires the ability to operate with minimum guidance from Management, and can report site service activities as needed.  Successful candidate will have experience working is a busy corporate environment and have excellent oral, written and presentation skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Understand Active Directory, provide activation of accounts and maintain security groups.
    • General understanding of DHCP, DNS, WINS design and user administration creation of users
    • Be able to resolve hardware issues, hard drive, ports, cables issues
    • Image new systems for deployment and manage images as needed.
    • Understand enterprise antivirus software, provide updates and virus removal.
    • Experience with SLA’s and service call tracking systems, Remedy, Track-IT or ServiceNow.
    • Be able to determine if warranty repair will be needed on desktops and laptops.
    • Strong support and resolution experience with Windows 7 &10, Outlook and connectivity issues.
    • Maintains department IT inventory system by keeping up-to-date and accurate records of serialized asset information.
    • Resolve LAN/WAN connectivity for networked devices and coordinates troubleshooting efforts with appropriate IT Administrators with resolution status
    • Change management experience/exposure participating in enterprise IT projects.
    • Provide network administration support as needed and directed by the Network Engineer

    Qualifications

    • 5-7 years of level II desktop support experience in corporate environment.
    • 5 years’ experience building strong relationships with end users by projecting a positive attitude, showing sincere concern, providing helpful support and making the end user feel important.
    • 2+ years in system administration experience
    • 2+ years with Microsoft Active Directory and DNS
    • 1 year of experience participating in and documenting infrastructure projects including upgrades, rollouts and relocation efforts.
    • Capability to solve complex problems and determine which solution is best.
    • Discretion in decision making; Some have a noticeable impact on the businesses and judgement errors can severely impact the overall business.
    • Capacity/Ability to learn from others where needed and teach others as well.
