    PCM is currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician resource who can supplement our customer’s staff by responding to all inbound service requests for PC Infrastructure support.  Primary responsibilities will be to support, upgrade, install and troubleshoot desktops, notebooks, printers and other hardware devices within a structured IT enterprise environment.  


    The Desktop Support Technician resource requires the ability to operate with minimum guidance from Management, and can report site service activities as needed.  Successful candidate will have experience managing one or more technical resources.


    • Maintain all aspects of the desktop environment-including hardware, software and printer support
    • Work closely with the help desk, peers and users to review, resolve and document problem calls.
    • Support company initiatives through team involvement as a representative of the IT department.
    • Provide support both in person and remotely as required
    • Work with remote locations to resolve issues at those locations
    • Assist in prep work for deploying work stations
    • Physical asst inventory and small computer supplies inventory
    • Assist in office moves of computer equipment
    • Assist in departmental software testing and upgrades
    • Computer supply deliveries to the end user


    • Working knowledge of Windows O/S desktop environments, specifically windows 8. Exchange 2010, Lenovo shop
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and ancillary software packages at the desktop
    • Familiar with Citrix applications and Thin Clients
    • Familiar with software deployment tools
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate with users in non technical terms
    • Good understanding of new technologies. Willingness to learn new functions, software and hardware implementations.
    • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and solve hardware problems including problems with monitors, computers (desktop and laptop), barcode devices and printers.
    • Demonstrated ability to grasp new concepts and adapt them to real life situations.
    • Experience with users in a cross functional manufacturing business
    • Two or four year college degree and relevant work experience. In lieu of degree, one year of related experience in a similar organization as a contractor or employee of that organization with two or four years of technical training and certifications in Desktop Operating Systems, hardware and network related topics
